The 2020 Tax Filing Deadline Extended to May 17, 2021

(March 18, 2021) Breaking news! The Treasury Department and Internal Revenue Service announced yesterday that the 2020 federal tax filing deadline has been extended from April 15, 2021 to May 17, 2021.  The IRS was pressured to extend the deadline due to strain on taxpayers and the IRS from the pandemic, as well as, the impact of changes to 2020 taxes in the recently passed stimulus plan.

Taxpayers now have an additional month to file their returns.  Please call a member of our Tax Department, John McAneney, George Riter, and Kevin Birkhead, with any questions.
