Dan focuses his practice on the insurance industry, along with complex commercial litigation. He regularly represents insurance carriers with respect to the defense of extracontractual cases and coverage disputes. Dan handles matters involving property and fine art insurance, business income and fidelity losses, subrogation recovery, fraud and general liability defense. Although he focuses on insurance industry law, Dan provides his clients with creative solutions drawing upon prior experience prosecuting and defending securities and consumer-fraud claims, catastrophic injury claims and professional liability matters.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Dan litigates frequently there, and in various Pennsylvania state and federal courts. An active speaker, he regularly presents legal updates targeting risk management, fraud and underwriting issues facing insurance carriers. Dan has served as a Philadelphia County Court of Common Pleas Judge Pro Tempore and participates in the firm’s pro-bono representation of the Delaware Valley Chapter of the International Association of Special Investigation Units (IASIU) and the Pennsylvania Auto Crime Investigators Association, Inc. (PACIA).
