Andrew J. Throckmorton is an Associate in the Timoney Knox Insurance Industry Group.  Mr. Throckmorton concentrates his practice on commercial and insurance litigation.  He defends insurers in insurance coverage disputes with a special emphasis on first-party property coverage, litigation and advice.

An experienced litigator, Mr. Throckmorton tries cases throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey.  He handles coverage disputes and analyses, including homeowners, commercial property, general liability, builders’ risk, construction defect, motor vehicle and errors/omissions.  Mr. Throckmorton also handles extra-contractual and bad faith cases, matters involving insurance agent/broker conduct as well as the investigation of potential insurance fraud.  Prior to joining Timoney Knox, Mr. Throckmorton ran the Pennsylvania branch office of a multi-state civil litigation law firm where he was the firm’s primary Pennsylvania litigator.

Mr. Throckmorton is an active member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and serves on the executive councils of the Young Lawyers’ Division and the Solo and Small Firm Section.  He is also a member of the 2016-2017 Bar Leadership Institute and regularly participates in meetings of the PBA’s Membership Development Committee.

A graduate of Villanova University School of Law, Mr. Throckmorton was the recipient of Villanova’s Doris Day Pro Bono Award.  During law school, he was also a certified legal intern at the Defender’s Association of Philadelphia and served as Villanova’s Student Bar Association liaison to the Pennsylvania Bar Association.
