Tom services as the Chief Marketing Officer of the firm. In this capacity he works very closely with the administrative officers and practice group leaders of the firm in developing marketing strategies and designing comprehensive business development plans.

While actively engaged in the day-to-day practice of law prior to assuming his present position, Tom was a Pennsylvania workers' compensation practitioner. The high level of his work in this capacity is reflected in the evaluation of his legal skills and achievements by his peers.

He possesses a LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell rating of "AV."

In 2001 and in each succeeding year to the present, Tom has also been listed in Best Lawyers in America. Only 2.4 percent of practicing lawyers qualify to be listed in Best Lawyers.

From 2004 to the present, Tom has attained the distinction of being identified by his peers as a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer. Only five percent of the lawyers surveyed by Super Lawyers attain this ranking.

In addition to being an active litigator in the Pennsylvania workers' compensation field, he developed a very deep, scholarly interest in this practice manifesting itself in authoring over 40 published articles; serving as an Adjunct Professor at Temple University Beasley School of Law; and assuming the role as editor-in-chief of the scholarly treatise Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation and Occupational Disease by Barbieri, Doyle, and Bond and Pennsylvania Workers' Compensation Guide published by the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry. In his editorial role, Tom made certain that this Chamber publication contained articles not only from lawyers, but also from experts in other disciplines who become involved in the effective management and, where necessary, litigation of claims. Tom also served as a contributing editor to Counterpoint, the official newsletter of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute, and editor of the newsletter of the Workers' Compensation Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association.

Over the years, Tom has been very active in the business, non-profit, and defense communities, serving in such leadership positions as president of the Pennsylvania Defense Institute; Board positions with PCI Insurance, the Philadelphia Committee of Seventy, the Pennsylvania Chamber of Business & Industry, the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania, the Arizona Captive Insurance Association, and the St. Thomas More Society; as well as serving as co-chair of the Philadelphia Bar Association's Workers' Compensation Section.

He recently accepted an invitation to be a faculty member of the Managing Partner Development Institute.
