   Mr. Thiroway joined the Firm as a Partner in 2009.  His practice focuses on the areas of personal injury litigation, commercial litigation, and business/employment.

   Prior to joining Timoney Knox, LLP, Mr. Thiroway was in private practice, with offices in Lahaska, Pennsylvania, and Mount Carmel, Pennsylvania.  Mr. Thiroway is a graduate of Temple University School of Law, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and received his undergraduate degree from the University of Scranton, Scranton, Pennsylvania.

  Mr. Thiroway represents clients in products liability, medical malpractice, and other complex personal injury cases such as state and municipal tort claims, dram shop, automobile negligence and premises liability.   He frequently serves as an arbitrator in civil cases.

  Mr. Thiroway also has extensive experience in representing and mentoring both individual and corporate clients in a wide range of areas, including incorporation of businesses, buy/sale of small-to- medium sized business, contracts, employment agreements, business planning, commercial defense litigation, wills, trusts, and estate planning.

  Mr. Thiroway has been an active litigator for a number of years and a representative sampling of some of the matters he has handled would include the following:

  • In 2011 recovered a substantial, confidential recovery for a college student who had suffered a permanent brain stem injury resulting from an automobile accident.
  • In 2010 obtained a substantial, confidential settlement of a Wrongful Death and Survival Action that resulted from the death of a two (2) year old child. The action was brought against the landlord who had negligently installed a wood burning stove which caused the fire and the ultimate death of the child.
  • Secured a significant settlement in a products liability case on the basis of a design defect of a radial arm saw, resulting in the loss of several fingers of the right hand.
  • Brought suit on behalf of several clients against amusement parks in both Pennsylvania and Florida who had sustained significant injuries as the result of the negligence of the rider operators or defects in the ride itself.
  • Has brought thousands of claims on behalf of clients severely injured as a result of automobile accidents.
  • Has represented numerous clients in personal injury actions against health care providers.

  Since 1998, Mr. Thiroway has served on the Board of Directors for Letip of Doylestown, and was recently elected President in April, 2011.  Letip is a business networking group with over 450 chapters throughout the United States and Canada.  The Doylestown Chapter currently consists of 66 businesses throughout Bucks County.  He has been very active in the community, having served on the Warwick Township Planning Commission and is a Republican Committee Person for Warwick District V.  He is heavily involved in youth sports, having coached Warrington/Warwick Girls Basketball and Warwick Township Travel Baseball.  He is currently a coach for the Bucks County Storm Travel Wrestling Club.
